At the NBA top scorers to never lead in the scoring list, there are a few names that should be mentioned. The one and only Michael Redd is one such name. Not only is he a three-time NBA all-star and a two-time NBA Eastern Conference player of the year, but he also is an online sports betting champion and a published writer for The Sporting News. You could say he does what a sports bettor should do. If you have a little bit of background on sports betting and sports gaming odds, you would probably agree with this assessment of Michael Redd.
Besides Redd, there are a couple of other NBA players that are never leading in points. Remember when Shaquille O'Neal was topping the lists? He was so good at times that he led the NBA in scoring for a time. Yet, he has never been able to dethrone Wilt Chamberlain as the top player in NBA history.
Another NBA star that is well known to the world and frequent online sports betting favorite is Allen Iverson. Iverson was a terror in the NBA for the better part of five years. No matter who was playing against him, he would always come out on top in every game he played in. He is one of the best NBA players of all time, and he remains one of the top NBA scorers to never lead in scoring.
However, if Allen Iverson was to be listed among the NBA top scorers to never lead in scoring, he would surely be in a different class altogether. And he fits in that class now, having moved onto stardom with the New York Nets. The guy had a few great years in the NBA, but he never won a title. Some even think he might have done enough to get an expansion team into the NBA, but that was before he decided to hang up his gloves and go into coaching. I'm not sure if there ever will be an NBA team that doesn't have at least one superstar, but some have more than one. That's why Allen Iverson still has the top two or three spots on the all-time lists.
Karl Alzner is another player that needs to be mentioned when discussing the NBA's best-shooting players. Alzner is a five-time NBA top 10 scorers and is a force on the defensive end. This is an important element when discussing the future of the game because there are too many talented shooting players who can go inside to take advantage of smaller defenders in the NBA.
When discussing the NBA's top scorers to never lead in scoring, some names need to be mentioned. There are too many great players in this league for that to be an oversimplification. But for this season, Karl Alzner and Jason Kidd are certainly deserving of their places at the top of the list. So they can continue to feed off each other, and hopefully continue to form a formidable duo for years to come.
